Before we dive into the strategy for breaking free from the "diet prison," I want to talk about something truly magical—our bodies. The deeper I studied anatomy and physiology, the more I was in awe of how wonderfully we are made.
*"The human body has a dynamic structure of bones and cartilage called the skeleton. It has a chemical factory more complex than any factory ever built by humans. This factory transforms the food we eat into living tissue, generating muscle, blood, bones, and teeth. It even repairs the body when parts of it are damaged due to accidents or illness. The energy needed for both work and rest comes from food. The brain serves as the center of the body's intricate computer system, one far superior to any human-made technology. This system transmits billions of bits of information throughout the body, controlling every function—even the blink of an eye.
The heart is essentially a muscular pump, circulating blood through thousands of miles of blood vessels. This blood delivers oxygen and nutrients to every part of the body."*
The human body is a masterpiece, created by the Creator.
Psalm 139:14 says, "I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well." The context of this verse speaks to the incredible nature of our physical bodies. The human body is the most intricate and unique organism in the world, and its complexity reveals so much about the mind of its Creator. Every part of it, down to the tiniest cell, is a testament to how truly marvelous it is.
Now, let me ask you this—do you think the Creator designed this miracle so that we would restrict it with diets and limitations? Was the energy we are given meant to be spent on controlling weight and counting calories?
I’ll leave you with these thoughts before we continue.
With love, ❤️ RO
