Your Body Is Smarter Than You Think

It’s such a blessing that our body doesn’t rely solely on our intellect—if it did, we’d probably have a hard time surviving. All the vital functions that keep us alive—breathing, heartbeat, digestion, circulation—are governed by instinct. Our bodies perform countless processes we’re thankfully not even aware of. Nature has gifted our body with deep wisdom, and because of that, we’re free to focus on other areas of life without worrying about what’s going on inside us.
If we had to rely on our minds alone, we’d cause a lot of damage. Just look at what we’ve done to food—something meant to fuel and nourish our physical body. We invent complicated diets, eliminate entire food groups, obsess over rigid eating schedules, and sometimes even stop eating altogether. We use food as comfort, distraction, or reward. And in the process, we forget the most important thing: to simply feed our body balanced food when it feels real, physical hunger.
It’s so important to remember that food isn’t just a source of energy—it’s a powerful way to stay connected to ourselves and our bodies. Learning to listen to your true needs and trust the instincts nature gave you is key. Because your body knows. That’s its wisdom.
Let yourself return to simplicity. Savor each meal. And rediscover the joy of taking loving care of yourself.
