On the Words We Need

The words we truly need often come to us in our hardest moments — like a lifeline that helps us stay afloat, restoring our physical and emotional strength so we can keep moving forward. That’s exactly what happened to me. During a time of deep struggle, I heard the phrase: “Say yes to the Lord.” These words were spoken in the context of Mary accepting her destiny, not yet knowing how heavy her burden would be.
That day, I must have repeated those words over a hundred times. Time passed, wounds began to heal, and I kept saying that phrase until it became my mantra. I still whisper it in moments of doubt or hesitation.
And as if by magic, my body softens, acceptance flows in, control slips away — and trust takes its place.
The anxiety lifts.
If you’re going through something difficult right now, try saying it: “Say yes to the Creator.”
