Replace willpower with awareness and discipline.Willpower often feels like violence against your own will — it’s not about respect, care, or love.Discipline is helpful when we’re building new habits, but even then, check in with yourself: do these habits feel right for you?Anything done through “I don’t want to” will eventually lead to rebellion — from your body and your mind.
What really helped me was shifting from “I have to” to “I choose to.”And here’s the thing: everything becomes easier and more enjoyable when you do it mindfully — when you understand your true needs and desires, and know how to meet them.
