Fewer Masks — More Freedom

Eckhart Tolle once said, “You will only be free when you realize who you are.”

I call this the journey back to myself.

A key part of this journey is recognizing who I am not — letting go of the roles and masks that no longer serve me, and the expectations placed on me by others and myself. This process takes honesty and courage, because sometimes we have to face parts of ourselves we’d rather ignore.

When Michelangelo was asked how he created his sculptures, he said, “I take a stone and remove everything that is not the sculpture.”

That simple yet profound thought beautifully captures the essence of self-discovery: to uncover our true nature, we must chip away the excess — the roles, labels, and expectations that don’t belong to us.

So this path is not just about finding yourself — it’s about liberation.Whoever dares to take this journey gains the freedom to express their true self. And to me, that is the highest form of freedom.
