Every Feeling Is a Part of You

Ernest Hemingway once wrote, “The hardest lesson I ever had to learn as an adult was the relentless need to keep moving forward, even when I felt shattered inside.”
We all go through tough times, and I’ve learned to be kind and patient with myself during those moments. To let myself retreat when needed, cry if I have to, or reach out to someone who can simply hold space for my emotions. It’s important to let yourself feel it all, no matter how painful it is.
Feel every emotion. Fully.
It’s the only way not to trap knots of pain inside your body and to keep feeling alive. There was a time in my life when I relied on strong painkillers just to feel nothing at all. I lived like that for years—surviving, but not really living.
Then I rediscovered the world of emotions. I started learning who I really was, what I needed, what I wanted. Now, I welcome every sensation—I grieve deeply, I celebrate joy, I love with my whole heart, and I cry when I need to.
I thank the Creator for the gift of feeling—even when it hurts. Every emotion has its own value. Each one shapes who we are and makes us irreplaceable.
