A person who doesn’t see the problem in their own actions has no power to change anything.
And yes, I emphasized their own for a reason. Because when the urge hits to blame your parents, teachers, partner, kids, or even the dog for your setbacks—I've got a little exercise for you.
Grab your ID, flip to the page with your age (do the math). If the number is over 18, walk up to a mirror and take a good look at the person who’s responsible for your life choices.
Blaming those around you for your failures is a very immature stance. The moment we reclaim that responsibility, we gain the strength and the power to change what no longer serves us.
