The Psychology of Slimness: It's Not Food, It's Thoughts. Part 2

Today, I continue my reflections on why slimness starts in the mind.

When you decide to begin your journey toward becoming slimmer, it's important to understand your starting point and where your mindset is at.

And there are two possibilities here:

Either you have the mindset of someone with excess weight.

Or you have the mindset of a slim person.

Why am I focusing on this? Why is it important?

Because, in order to understand and set a direction for where we're going, we need to first understand where we are right now.

For example, when you get in your car, the GPS first determines your location and only then plots the route.

If for some reason, the GPS can't determine where you are, it won’t begin moving in the desired direction.

✔ What do I think when I see slim people? ✔ How do I feel in the company of slim people? ✔ What do events related to meals trigger in me?

Answer these questions honestly, and you’ll be one step closer to your goal.

And one more important point: never say to yourself, "I must," "I need to," or "I have to." These words aren’t about our desires or will.

Your body won’t give you energy to achieve those goals, or even worse, it will start resisting, and that becomes a battle with yourself, draining your energy.

Instead, replace the words "I need" with "I choose."

Not "I need to go to the gym," but "I choose physical activity because I love living in a healthy, slim body."

Not "I need to cook dinner," but "I choose to bring joy to my loved ones by cooking them delicious and healthy food."

Trust me, you will feel a surge of energy and strength because these are your will, desires, and choices.
